Our bio-based and compostable stand-up pouches are constructed entirely from FSC-sourced kraft paper and PLA, a compostable monomer derived from fermented non-GMO corn starch. This combination of materials ensures that the pouches are biodegradable under industrial composting conditions. The PLA undergoes a hydrolysis process followed by the action of microorganisms, ultimately degrading the material.
